Reagle wins 4 IRNE Awards for 2010
Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston, Inc. was honored Monday night, April 25th, 2011 at the Fifteenth Annual Independant Reviewers of New England(IRNE) Awards. Out of a whopping 17 nominations in the large theatre category, Reagle took home awards for the following:
Best Costumes: Stacey Stephens, INTO THE WOODS
Best Choreography: Todd M. Smith and Judine Somerville, HAIRSPRAY
Best Actress in a Musical: Rachel York, INTO THE WOODS
Best Director of a Musical: Stacey Stephens, INTO THE WOODS

Hot News: Reagle Nominated for 17 IRNE Awards for 2010!!
WALTHAM, MA – The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) committee has just announced its 2010 IRNE Award nominations, and Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston has earned 17 for its 2010 season. Included in the Large Theater category, Reagle Music Theatre is judged alongside Boston’s Huntington Theatre Company, Cambridge’s A.R.T., Trinity Repertory Company of Providence, RI, Maine’s Ogunquit Playhouse, and the North Shore Music Theatre of Beverly.
“As always, we are deeply grateful to the IRNE voters for the tremendous support and visibility they extend to regional theater companies throughout New England,” says Robert Eagle, producing artistic director of Reagle Music Theatre. “They see hundreds of shows a year in houses large and small. Without them, many wonderful productions would receive little or no attention. They are true advocates of the arts, and we applaud them.”
Reagle Music Theatre’s nominations for 2010 include the following:
“Into the Woods” (8) – best musical; actress, Rachel York; supporting actress, McCaela Donovan and Shannon Lee Jones; music director, Charles Pelz; director, Stacey Stephens; set design, Janie Howland; costumes, Stacey Stephens
“Hairspray” (8) – best musical; best ensemble; actor, Dan Dowling; actress, Marissa Perry; supporting actor, John Macero; music director, Daniel Rodriquez; director, Todd Michael Smith and Judine Somerville; choreography, Todd Michael Smith and Judine Somerville
“Uptown/Downtown” – solo performance, Leslie Uggams
