IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING NEWSIES

Dear Reagle Music Theatre Patrons,

We hope this message finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that we, the Reagle Music Theatre Board of Directors, write to inform you that it has become necessary to cancel our August Production of Newsies. This has not been an easy decision, but we have explored all other viable possibilities. It is our sincere hope to reschedule for a future date.

As many of you know, the performing arts have faced significant challenges in recent years, and unfortunately, we are not immune to the effects of the broader economic climate. A decline in available government funding grants and ongoing financial strain on our valued donors and patrons has made it increasingly difficult to secure the resources needed to produce a show at the level of excellence our audiences deserve.

Producing a musical like Newsies requires a substantial investment—sets, costumes, staff, and more. Compromising the integrity and quality of one of our productions is not something that we are willing to do. We remain optimistic that we can bring Newsies to the mainstage when we are able to do so. In the meantime, we are fully committed to all our other programming, including our education programs, New York Trip, ChristmasTime, as well as our July production of Evita - which is well under way, and will run from July 11-20.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support, passion, and belief in the importance of the arts. It is your encouragement that keeps us moving forward, even in this challenging moment. If you are in a position to assist or have ideas for potential partnerships or funding opportunities, we would be honored to hear from you. Your options at this time are:

  • Exchange your ticket now for the best available comparable seat for our production of Evita.
  • Retain a credit on your account to be used on our upcoming productions including: ChristmasTime, our Youth Theatre production of Anastasia Jr., or toward our New York Trip.
  • Donate the cost of your ticket to support Reagle Music Theatre as a tax-deductible contribution.
